The IAMSAR Solutions team is in Curacao once again, as part of an ongoing multi-year SAR training contract with JRCC Curacao. Our instructor, Mr. Laurent Desmarais, delivered a 3-week SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) course. The students emerged with a solid understanding of their duties and responsibilities, degrees of both aeronautical and maritime emergencies and applicable actions, the 5 stages of a SAR incident, Cospas-Sarsat and much more. Simulations that are tailor-made for Curacao help solidify the theoretical knowledge into practical segments. Congratulations to all!
