ARCC Belgium SAR training

November 23, 2024

The IAMSAR Solutions team completed a 4-week SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) course delivered onsite in Beauvechain to the personnel of ARCC Belgium.

This course was specifically designed for the organization, featuring practical segments and simulations tailored to their area of responsibility and the typical incidents they encounter. The SMC course was preceded by a 1-week Aviation Fundamentals module, which is equivalent to basic pilot license ground school.

In this module, instructor extraordinaire Mr. Daniel Chicoyne provided all instruction, drawing upon his vast aviation experience as an accomplished pilot on no fewer than nine different types of aircraft, as well as years of experience as a Canadian JRCC SMC.

This course is a tribute to the long-lasting relationship between both organizations and our shared focus on delivering the best possible training by the best instructors.
